First of all, Welcome! 

My name is Candace Gurley, of Candace Gurley Photography. I am so glad that you have taken the time to inquire about a Senior Experience session with me!

Whether you are a current junior (or parent)oi ahead of the game, or a current senior ready for graduation, you’re about to embark on one of the most exciting times of your life. This is your moment to celebrate who you are and everything that matters to you at this very moment in your life. You are about to begin an amazing journey, and I want you to take this time to focus on YOU. You will be making all kinds of new and lasting memories, and I am so excited that you are considering making Candace Gurley Photography apart of your Senior year!

Anyway, I know you're probably burning with questions about the senior experience (it's why I'm sending this welcome guide to you, after all), so I'll just keep moving right along. As you read through all of the information of this welcome guide on my senior sessions, you'll learn what your session will entail, how it works, what to expect, and more.

Let’s figure that out together and capture this milestone in a beautiful way. This is your opportunity to have a day to celebrate where you are RIGHT now in your life and reflect on how you’ve grown. I want to help you get the most out of every moment.

I know you look great posing for Instagram, but wait until you see what I can do for you with flattering lighting, posing, and other techniques that will make your best features pop. It’s all about my undivided attention to you.

I love seniors for their fresh, varied, and individual personalities, styles and tastes. Nothing is more fun than the challenge of capturing your personality in a session that is custom designed for you. I take a sort of unique approach to the idea of senior pictures by placing a heavy emphasis on fully thought out, cohesive sessions that are tailored down to the minute detail for my client (male or female)! Leading up to the sessions, we'll discuss outfits, props, hair, makeup and/or skincare and more. I will never leave you to pose on your own. I will be there to place you and instruct you on what you need to do to look your best. You won’t have to leave anything to guess.

My goal is to be with you every step of the way as we capture your story. From the initial consult, to your reveal and ordering appointment, and finally to handing over the final digitals and boutique and heirloom quality products that will preserve your memories for generations, I will be there to guide you through an experience that is memorable for years to come. Your senior portraits are a huge part of your senior year. Think about how many friends and family will see these images, which is why you want someone that is going to do their best to make all of your images flawless! My goal is to help you fondly remember your senior portrait session as a fantastic experience, even long after the diplomas and tassels are stored away and you’ve made your incomparable mark on the world.

3} Session planning and support

I help you every step of the way so you have the perfect shoot. Two to three weeks before your session we will set up a time to meet and get to know each other. We will discuss locations, time, and outfits!  No matter what type of session you request, I’m going to work with you to design the best style that fits you! I want to find out about your style, personality, and what you love! Together, we will design your perfect dream shoot! 

4} a personalized experience

I believe your senior portraits should be a true reflection of who you are and dream to be.

You are beautiful in your own unique way, and I want to showcase that. There is no standard of beauty in my eyes, and I want you to feel amazing in your own skin. I don’t care if you are the popular girl in school or if you see yourself as an introverted creative. I want to get to know you and give you a truly unique and custom experience of a lifetime.
You may dream of a bright airy session or you may want to go dark and moody; I love it all! My goal is to capture you exactly how you see yourself. We may even show you a side of yourself that you’ve never seen before! Even though we go all out for your portrait session that is NOT a makeover. This is 100% YOU!

5} your images more control

Every session includes a personalized reveal and ordering appointment to select your favorite images. We will schedule a time for your reveal and ordering appointment within two weeks from your session date.  Your personalized reveal and ordering appointment allows you to see and feel examples of the heirloom quality products that I offer. You will never have to be overwhelmed with galleries or not knowing what sizes and products to order. I am here to help you every step of the way! At your appointment, we will begin with a beautiful slideshow for you to see all of your gorgeous images for the first time. We then go through each image to select your favorites. We will work together to select the best images that fit with your home decor and what sizes will look best on your walls and in your album and/or folio box. You deserve to have your senior portraits proudly displayed as artwork in your home. 

CONSULTATION

First, we have to plan your session! Two to three weeks before your session we will set up a time to meet and get to know each other. We will discuss locations, time, and outfits!  No matter what type of session you request, I’m going to work with you to design the best style that fits you! I want to find out about your style, personality, and what you love! Together, we will design your perfect dream shoot at your personal style consultation! 

SESSION

When we meet for your session, relax! It is completely normal to be nervous! It is alright to not know how you want to pose or smile…I’m here to direct you in all of that. Just get comfortable and I’ll make the rest come to life! Enjoy the time just being in the spotlight! Just be YOU and your images will turn out great!

POST-SESSION

Once the session is over, we will schedule your in-home reveal and ordering appointment within two weeks of your session date. When you book your session, you will never have to be overwhelmed with galleries or not knowing what sizes and products to order. At your reveal appointment, we begin with a beautiful slideshow for you to see all of your gorgeous images for the first time. We then go through each image to select your favorites. We will work together to select the best images that fit with your home décor and what sizes will look best on your walls and in your album and/or folio box. I have hand selected the best products to last for generations! 

INVESTMENT

Clients who choose Candace Gurley Photography are investing in a complete custom experience and professional quality products. You deserve to have your senior portraits proudly displayed as artwork in your home. Session fees start at $300. We offer Collection and A La Carte pricing options to fit your needs and wants.
